BIRDS, REPTILES, RABBITS AND SMALL MAMMALS | Veterinary medicine for exotic pets is growing as the popularity of these animals increase. With better public education in health, nutritional and environmental management, all species have a greater chance for living longer and healthier lives. We employ staff veterinarians who possess experience in the care and treatments of exotics. |
BLOOD TRANSFUSION | We maintain a supply of blood for all types of pets in case of emergency. The blood is collected from donor pets that live with their owners. |
BOARDING | Pets are like our children – we feed, nurture and lavish attention on them. Our highly qualified kennel attendants do the same when you can't be there. We provide tender loving care (such as brushing and cuddling), and supervised outdoor playtime to keep them happy and active. |
DAY CARE | Is your pet unhappy or lonely while you're at work? Give your companion the personal attention he or she deserves throughout the day. We offer the same TLC and playtime offered to our longer-term guests. |
DENTAL CARE | Regular professional cleaning is important to maintaining your pet's teeth. We use modern and safe ultrasound to clean each tooth thoroughly - above and below the gum line. Dental technicians polish teeth to create a smooth, lustrous tooth surface more resistant to plaque buildup. Fluoride treatments help strengthen enamel and reduce tooth sensitivity. Advanced dental care is available, including root canals, caps and braces. We now have available digital dental radiography to determine internal root and tooth abnormalities. |

MICROCHIPPING Microchips have helped reunite thousands of pets with their families. We offer Home Again microchipping, one of the most widely used microchip products to increase the chances of a safe recovery. Collars and tags can come off pets that have lost their way home- microchips are a permanent way to ID your pet. No larger than a grain of rice, a microchip is implanted between your pet's shoulder blades using a special syringe and cause minimal discomfort similar to any injection.
Local animal hospitals and shelters have scanners to check lost pets for microchips. |
NUTRITIONAL COUNSELING | Some pets require special food, and all pets benefit from a balanced diet. Our trained and certified staff is available to help you choose the right diet for your pet to keep him or her happy, healthy and active. |
PAIN MANAGEMENT | Veterinary patients feel pain and discomfort under the same circumstances as people do. We know that recognizing and alleviating pain in animals is the essence of good patient care. |
RADIOLOGY Radiographs – or X-rays – help our veterinarians evaluate musculo-skeletal, cardiovascular(cardiopulmonary), gastrointestinal, reproductive and urinary systems. We have digital radiography that allows us to quickly take and develop xrays, as well as send them over a private network for evaluations if needed to certified radiologists for evaluation.
We also utilize digital dental radiography.

Laparoscopy We now offer laparoscopy to our patients. Laparoscopic surgery is a minimally invasive surgical technique in which a camera and special instruments are passed into the abdomen through 2 or 3 small incisions, usually ~ 1cm in size, and are used to visualize the entire body cavity and organs. Due to the smaller incision opening and less disruption to the body cavity and muscles, the patient is able to recover much more quickly and comforably than with traditional surgical methods. This procedure also yields reduced bloodloss and more accurate diagnostic ability.
Many major and minor surgical procedures can be completed via the laparoscope. | View |
Endoscopy We also offer endoscopic procedures to our clients. Endoscopy allows us to visualize the inside of the digestive tract via camera on a flexible scope to search and retrieve foreign objects, take biopsy samples, and search for abnormalities within the GI tract. It can also be used to inspect the upper respiratory tract. This minimally invasive procedure is relatively painless and allows a much quicker recovery than traditional surgical procedures.

ULTRASOUND This non-invasive, state-of-the-art technology uses sound waves to painlessly examine specific internal organs, primarily the heart and abdominal organs. Pregnancy exams are also available.
We utilize the skills of board certified veterinary radiologists through a network referral system. This system delivers radiographs and ultrasounds over a private network to be analyazed off-site and evaluations usually returned within 24 hours. | View |
